Benefits of Cucumber - Suraksha Health Park Hospitals

TOP 5 BENEFITS OF CUCUMBER
1. Hydration
Water content varies from fruit to fruit, but cucumbers are usually more than 90 percent water. This means they’re a good source of hydration, and could even aid in weight loss.
Foods with high water content often are used for weight loss because they can fill you up with fewer calories. This helps make cucumbers a great addition to salads, sandwiches, and any other dish you might add them to.
2. Skin Health
The cooling and anti-inflammatory properties of cucumbers make it ideal for soothing irritated skin. One study found that cucumbers contain a concentration of vitamin C that may act as an anti-wrinkle solution.
3. Heart Health
Cucumbers encourage a healthy cardiovascular system by supplying the body with sterols that may reduce “bad” (LDL) cholesterol. They’re also a good source of nutrients that can help reduce blood pressure, including:magnesium, potassium, sulphur, silicon
4. Pain Management
A little-known benefit of cucumbers lies in their ability to help combat pain. This use is documented as a folk health remedy for headaches, but some studies have confirmed that cucumbers can indeed reduce pain.
5. Bone Health
Cucumbers are a good source of vitamin K, whose deficiency is linked to an elevated bone fracture risk. One cup of cucumber can provide as much as 11 percent of your daily vitamin K needs.
In addition, cucumbers are a good source of silica, important for connective tissues like ligaments, tendons, muscles, and bones.

The Effects of Smoking on the Body:

Tobacco smoke is enormously harmful to your health. There’s no safe way to smoke. Replacing your cigarette with a cigar, pipe, or hookah won’t help you avoid the health risks associated with tobacco products.
Cigarettes contain about 600 ingredients. When they burn, they generate more than 7,000 chemicals, according to the American Lung Association. Many of those chemicals are poisonous and at least 69 of them can cause cancer. Many of the same ingredients are found in cigars and in tobacco used in pipes and hookahs. According to the National Cancer Institute, cigars have a higher level of carcinogens, toxins, and tar than cigarettes.
When using a hookah pipe, you’re likely to inhale more smoke than you would from a cigarette. Hookah smoke has many toxic compounds and exposes you to more carbon monoxide than cigarettes do. Hookahs also produce more secondhand smoke.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It’s one of the leading causes of preventable death.

Health Benefits of Water Melon - Suraksha Health Park Hospitals

Health Benefits of Watermelon:
---------------------------------------
Watermelons are an excellent source of several vitamins: vitamin A, which helps maintain eye health and is an antioxidant; vitamin C, which helps strengthen immunity, heal wounds, prevent cell damage, promote healthy teeth and gums; and vitamin B6, which helps brain function and helps convert protein to energy.
Watermelon also contains the amino acids citrulline and arginine, which can help maintain arteries, blood flow and overall cardiovascular function.
Alone or in a fruit salad are the most common ways many of us eat watermelon. While eating the meat of the fruit is the best way to take advantage of all of its nutrients, this is one of my favorite bits of summer refreshment. I get a version of this from my local burrito truck. The key to making this great: don't oversweeten it. With just a touch of sweetness, it's heavenly.
